I am a primary care physician who has been practicing in RI for over 10 years.

 

2. What do you love about your job?

Helping patients make progress on their health goals.

 

3. What is the biggest challenge that you face when providing care to your patient population?

Increasing obesity which causes multiple combities.

 

4. What are some healthcare barriers that your non-English speaking patients face?

There are limited multilingual providers in the RI healthcare community.

 

5. If you could make one change to the RI healthcare system, what would it be?

More emphasis on educating young students on healthy eating/excercise to prevent disordered eating as adults.

RI needs to recruit more primary care physicians!
