1. What is your role in the RI healthcare community?

I am an OBGYN who has been practicing in RI for over 20 years.

 

2. What do you love about your job?

I enjoy patient care, surgery, delivering babies, and taking care of patients for many years during their life.

 

3. What is the biggest challenge that you face when providing care to your patient population?

Patients not being able to afford medication and health care.

 

4. What are some healthcare barriers that your non-English speaking patients face?

Not being able to get a true history from the patient.

 

5. If you could make one change to the RI healthcare system, what would it be?

Better insurance compensation of physicians/NPs/PAs. In RI we have a severe shortage of RN/MD/NP.
